Bodyfarm – The Coming Scourge (2013)

I think I’ve listened to this album about 15 times with the purpose of doing a review for it, but it always falls apart and I don’t really know why. However this time I absolutely made myself power through, in order to finally commit this one to the site. It’s been on the to do list for 5 years for fucks sakes.

I think I know what my issue is. There is absolutely nothing wrong with any individual component to Bodyfarm, nor to how those parts are composed to work together in the medium of a death metal band, but there is something about this album that is so low key boring that I can’t quite put my finger on it. Is it the pacing? The general uninspired nature of the tracks? I don’t know, but Jesus, I struggled through this one. Sorry, Bodyfarm.
