Cannibal Corpse – Torture (2012)

Damn BRO if you like Cannibal then you’ll fukken love this, but that’s all I got for you, brah brah. As a whole, the record is pretty uninspired in regards to how good some of the latter career Cannibal records are. If you check my other reviews you’ll no doubt be thinking “damn son, why don’t you stop talking about the other Cannibal albums and actually talk about the album at hand?” – Well, I’ll tell you for why, homeslice, and that is because most of these things all sound the fucking same. If some are able to rise above the soup of treble-heavy riff charcuterie and fat production and GRAB YOU by the fukken THROAT then they win as metal albums in my book, brah brah. Torture is not one of the albums that grabs you by the neck and forces you to bang your head; it’s one of the ones that makes you go: “this is pretty cool.”

It’s still well made though, so 3/5 from me!
