Sheer Terror – Standing Up For Falling Down (2014)

Standing Up For Falling Down is where I came in (a bit late) to the Sheer Terror discography. If I had to come out the gate with picking a fault (of which there are few) it would be with the production, which feels a bit overdone. As for the music, Sheer Terror’s bludgeoning hardcore oozes over you like molasses; either at a neck-breaking skank or a brooding crawl. Some of the song titles are a bit weird, which is good for a laugh. Also, there’s a strange brass addition to “Coffee, 5 Sugars” which works far better than it ought to.
