The Exploited – Massacre (1990)

My uncle gave me his copy of this album many years ago and I used to think it was the shit. In hindsight, especially taking it into account with the rest of The Exploited discography, it’s not quite as good as I remember. It is however, a crapload of fun. It’s also the most audible Exploited album in a while (chronologically), with Horror Stories and Death Before Dishonour both having somewhat dank and difficult production. The Massacre is the exact opposite; all bright and in your face, which really works for the new thrashier sound the band have gone for.

All in all, this is a solid set of songs, “Porno Slut” aside.
