Glaciære – Pool Water Blue (2016)

Falling firmly into the trappings of vaporwave but also being something so much more, the debut from Glaciære showcases a strong grasp on interesting and engaging songwriting. It is perhaps too easy in these circles to rely entirely on chilled nostalgic beats laced with infomercial samples, so when an artist goes above and beyond to conjure genuinely emotionally resonant music in this particular sonic palette, then they can often create something very special, as is the case right here with Pool Water Blue. Highly recommended!
