Ishtar – Krig (1999)

A great evolution from the EP which came the year before. It is a shame that this band did not continue past their debut. The cover is a bit half-arsed, but do not let it put you off. The songs from the EP reappear here in a more well-produced form; it is still frosty, and at moments remind me of Dimmu in the Enthrone… era, but this is the keyboard work’s doing. Production wise, idk, this is closer to something like the GBK / Absurd split. A great album, and a brilliant reward these days for those wandering off the beaten track.
