Graveland – Cold Winter Blades (2010)

Cold Winter Blades is a cool little EP that’s sitting on the boundary of Darken’s fairly savage “solo” Graveland work and the more triumphant and orchestral incarnation that the band would become with Thunderbolts Of The Gods or Hour Of Ragnarok. I don’t know if it’s just me, but the drums here seem absolutely overpowering, but that’s my only criticism really. Otherwise this is solid Graveland stuff.
