Ozzy Osbourne – Diary Of A Madman (1981)

October 31, 2024

Similar to Ozzy’s solo debut in overall production and style, although the sound is slightly warmer. I find that Diary Of A Madman is a better album as a whole; the band seem to be finding their feet (I believe there’s a different sticksman here) and Ozzy has the best of the best propping him up, in all fairness. There is a lack of absolute stand-alone belters here, such as “Mr. Crowley” from the previous record, but that’s a price I’m willing to pay for the whole thing to be better and have less in the way of low points.
