Black Widow – III (1970)

I have a love / hate relationship with Black Widow. I appreciate the timeline of the releases and their importance in the gestation of heavy blues into metal, and of course some of the more experimental songs that they performed, but there is also a malaise to their music that I guess is like some sort of stoned stupor or hash haze. III is interesting, at least on the surface, but if I stop and think about it, I’m just sat waiting for the song to end in hopes that something more exciting comes along, and unfortunately, it never does.
