Brian Eno – Neroli (Thinking Music Part IV) (1993)

One could easily call this album boring, but that would mean one has truly missed the point of such an album as this. In fact, even with its run time, to call it an album feels odd. This is two stand-alone singular tracks (just one in the 1993 release), a single mood in each, left to ring out for an enormous length of time. It really pushes the boundary of what can be considered music, even in ambient circles, yet also evokes something much deeper. It is a record for reflection, or contemplation.
