Dwarves – The Dwarves Are Young And Good Looking (1997)

There’s something just downright cheery about this record. Blag Dahlia seems to have this twisted way of making songs about being a violent, jailbait chasing punk seem all sunshine and roses. I mean, the album cover is kinda a give away to the true nature of this upbeat, poppy punk record, but there we go. The first seven tracks of this thing are pure unstoppable, sleazy, violent punk sang through gritted teeth and an insane smile. A bright, sprightly production compliments tight riffing, crisp drums and shimmering guitars. I love this band.

Stand out tracks include “I Will Deny”, “Demonica”, “Everybody’s Girl” and “The Crucifixion Is Now”.
